Good morning America. It is the day after the election and as predicted, the Republicans have taken control of the senate and kept their hold on the house. This election was truly a referendum on Obama and his lawless, socialistic policies. The American people have woken up, saw what was going on in their country, and took the first necessary step to setting this ship straight. By the way, putting the Republicans in power because they are sick of Obama isn't necessarily what I call the first “necessary step;” rather, paying attention, being involved and holding people accountable when they break their oaths to the constitution is more like it.
With this being said it is important to remember that this fight is far from over, and we have a lot of work to do in the way of convincing people that a simple “Republican majority” isn’t enough. We have to remember that many Republicans have, in the past few months, alluded to the fact that they have no intention of repealing Obamacare, and while in the minority, they have shown very little back bone when it comes to standing up to Obama. We also have to consider the possibility that the whole election could have been nothing more than a dog and pony show designed to lull the people back to sleep; after all, one of the forty five goals of the communist party is to infiltrate both political parties.
During this administration, and years past, the Republican Party has taken a hard turn left and became advocates for bigger government. Here at The Radical Conservative, I have written many articles about Marxism, the Hegelian Dialectic and the propaganda used to keep people distracted and uninterested. If people allow themselves to go back to sleep under the false pretense that a “Republican majority” will fix our nation then we will find ourselves in deeper trouble. People must remember what it means to live in a “representative government” and hold their representatives accountable.
People must remember that living in a nation based on the ideals of individual liberty requires the highest levels of personal responsibility, and one of those responsibilities is preserving individual liberty. This can’t be done if we have forgotten who it is our representatives work for folks. During the next two years the pressure is really going to be on, and we have to be on every situation like white on rice. The democrats will attempt to accuse the Republicans of everything that goes wrong, and they will be fighting tooth and nail to give their Democratic presidential nominee the advantage in 2016.
If we are not paying attention, and I mean close attention to every detail, these tactics will work and we could very lose these gains in the next election cycle. The Republicans won not because of what they campaigned on, but because they weren't Democrats, and for me, for now, thats good enough.
I recommend that over the next two years every liberty loving, red blooded American call their representatives at least once a week, if not more, and remind them why they won this election. Put the pressure on and keep it on, let them know we are paying attention, we want accountability and people who will uphold their oaths to support and defend the constitution. If we fail to do this and allow them to become complacent simply because they took the majority, we will reap the consequences we deserve.
While it’s great to see that America woke up last night, we mustn't allow ourselves to fall back to sleep because now is when the real fight begins. Lets remind these folks whom we have elected that is We The People who are in charge of them and we intend to hold their feet to the fire. If not, they can kiss their new positions good bye next time around!
